action

Helene had actually planned a trip around the world for herself and her husband Georg as soon as he retires. But Georg suddenly dies of a heart attack. He bequeaths to his wife a disused train station that he had bought without her knowledge. Reluctantly, she befriends the ramshackle building and moves in with her two friends Rosina and Luise. However, Arthur, a former work colleague of Georg, already lives there. He has a lease for life and is not very pleased to have company now. There was a quick dispute with him about the division of the rooms. He also hated the increasing noise in the house. For their part, women do not like the inaccessible manner of men. Over time, however, they find compromises and they begin to love seclusion. This silence is "disturbed" when Luise presents another subtenant. Joe, a likeable young student, is looking for a place to stay and Luise has fallen in love with him despite her older age.

Arthur begins to “thaw” a little when Helene becomes more and more interested in the train. He even tells her about his life and where he got around as a train driver. They both get on better every day. Luise also continues to adore her Joe, who is more interested in Helene's daughter Corinna. When Luise notices this, she is deeply offended. Helene is fed up with the little problems around her and decides to go on the planned trip around the world with Arthur.

Location

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv draws the following verdict on this film: “[...] The plot is harmless, the dramaturgy pleasing and the implementation by Karola Meeder, who is experienced in 'Herzkino', avoids excessive drama; but the cast is appropriate and credible, the pictures are nice to look at and the other trades are also doing their job well. "

For Kino.de , Tilmann P. Gangloff judged : "Because 'Endstation Glück' does without real excitement, the film babbles a bit without a climax, even if there are some obvious or subliminal conflicts." "Writer and director [would] calm can go more in-depth [...], especially since the three main actresses fit their roles well, act credibly at all times and also function well as an ensemble. "

Ulrich Feld from the FNP said: “The constellation promises [...] a lot, but at times the comedy has difficulties in realizing its comic potential. Some scenes seem constructed and intentional, but not really skillful. "" The script did not incorporate the themes of the film such as age, life changes, disappointment, illness and death into the plot too badly. "Conclusion:" 'Endstation Glück' is through the immature script is not a big hit, but still leaves a reasonably passable impression. Expressed in a school grade: It's still enough for three. "
