The Engadiner LÄNDERFRUNDA from Celerina

Now retired, Arno Caflisch lives with his wife Cilgia Caflisch in Silvaplana . He has a daughter, Seraina Caflisch, who lives in Zurich. Arno is still active as a clarinetist with the Engadiner LÄNDERFRUNDA. This formation usually consists of Arno Caflisch, Domenic Janett (both clarinet), Carlo Simonelli ( accordion ), Gian-Carlo Simonelli (clarinet) and Sepp Simonelli , ( bass violin ). The multi-instrumentalist Ueli Mooser is a regular guest from Birmensdorf ZH . Since the Engadiner Ländlerfründa from Celerina are a country band keen to experiment, Arno Caflisch sometimes also plays his drum. During their career they also teamed up with the jazz orchestra P. S. Corporation from Basel and the Fricktaler Musikanten . Some of the performances in which Ueli Mooser accompanies with the guitar result in a synthesis between the Bündner and Oberkrainer styles .
