Engelsdorf is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Eggenburg in the Horn district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 86 building areas with 30,807 m² and 117 gardens on 78,094 m² in the cadastral community Engelsdorf , in 1989/1990 there were 91 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 100 and in 2009/2010 there were 131 buildings on 299 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. At the turn of the year 1979/1980 303 hectares were used for agriculture and 60 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000, 298 hectares of agriculture were practiced and 68 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 283 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 70 hectares. The average soil climate of Engelsdorf is 36.3 (as of 2010).
