The Enosi Kendroon ( EK , Greek Ένωση Κεντρώων , German Union of Centrists ) is a Greek political party . It was founded on March 2, 1992 by Vasilis Leventis as the Union of Centrists and Ecologists . The name was changed shortly afterwards to avoid confusion with ecological parties. The party ideologically refers to the former center union of Georgios Papandreou and Sophoklis Venizelos .

In her party program, Enosi Kendroon speaks out in favor of dismantling the public sector. Public payments to political parties are to be abolished. The incomes of politicians and officials are to be reduced by half. Parliamentary mandates are to be limited to a maximum of twelve years. Supplementary pensions for people with a monthly income of over 1000 euros are to be abolished. The party supports Greece's membership in the European Union and the euro area .

The party did not succeed for a long time in gaining political mandates. In January 2015, she achieved a respectable success in the early parliamentary election with 1.79%, but without a member of parliament. In the early parliamentary election in September 2015 she was able to overcome the three percent hurdle for the first time with 3.43% and move into parliament with 9 members. In the parliamentary elections in July 2019 , she remained well below the hurdle and thus missed the re-entry into parliament.
