Ensemble Friedrichstrasse (Fürth)
The ensemble Friedrichstrasse is a group of buildings in Fürth and is in accordance with Article 1, paragraph 3 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act under monument protection . The ensemble is part of the list of architectural monuments in Fürth , in which the architectural monuments of the Central Franconian city of Fürth are listed. This list is a partial list of the list of architectural monuments in Bavaria. This list is based on the Bavarian Monument List , which was first drawn up on the basis of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973 and since then by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservationis managed and updated. description
The street is named after the Fürth merchant and co-founder of the Ludwig Railway, Johann Heinrich Friedrich Meyer (1787–1847). The street was located at the former station of the oldest German railway, which opened in 1835. The stylistically closed street scene consists of i. d. R. three-storey, v. a. Broadly proportioned eaves houses with sandstone facades, built 1840–1850. According to the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , Friedrich von Gärtner's buildings on Ludwigstrasse in Munich served as a model for Friedrichstrasse, which was modified here to meet the needs of a bourgeois city characterized by industry and trade.

- Friedrichstrasse 5; Fürther Freiheit 2a - three-storey classicist house in a corner, sandstone building with rusticated ground floor, built in 1838/39 by Andreas Schulz and Friedrich Schmidt, wing on Fürther Freiheit with a higher average risk in 1867 by Andreas Korn in the same form.
- Friedrichstrasse 7 - Three-storey residential building with restaurant Humbser Brau, the core 1843 neobaroque rebuilt 1896 (rel.) With redesign of the sandstone facade including Zwerchhaus and mansard ; In the restaurant, cast iron columns , pilasters , paneling and rich stucco ceilings in neo-coco shapes.
- Friedrichstrasse 8; Rudolf-Breitscheid-Strasse 16 - former Bavarian. Hypotheken- und Wechsel-Bank (with Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße 16), palatial, elongated corner building from 1844, redesigned by Bielenberg and Moser in representative neo-baroque forms from 1921–23 .
- Friedrichstrasse 9 - Three-storey residential building, the core 1850 rebuilt 1881 (ref.) Of Moritz Haubrich with neo - sandstone facade , broad Zwerchhaus and gambrel .
