Enzwiese is a nature reserve in the area of ​​the Baden-Württemberg city of Löwenstein .

The nature reserve was designated by ordinance of the Stuttgart Regional Council of December 3, 1997 and according to the ordinance on the protected area has a size of around 6.9 hectares. Location and description

The protected area is located between the hamlet of Hirrweiler, which belongs to Löwenstein, and Wüstenrot- Weihenbronn, directly on the B 39 within the forest on a rod island that is gently troughed and is crossed by a creek that flows only temporarily. It is located in the natural area 123 - Swabian-Franconian Forest Mountains within the main natural unit 12 - Neckar and Tauber-Gäuplatten and belongs to the 5443 hectare FFH area No. 7021-341 Löwensteiner and Heilbronner Berge .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the protection purpose is the preservation and promotion of an island-like, extensively used grassland area with a stream and large-scale wetlands, which are the remains of a former reservoir, with a large number of the sometimes very rare plant species typical for these habitats.
