Erhard Siedel

Erhard Siedel (born November 1, 1895 in Röhrsdorf , † November 16, 1979 in Switzerland ) was a German actor and theater director .

Life

After taking acting lessons, he began his stage career in 1915 at the Albert Theater in Dresden . In Berlin he played at the Volksbühne and at the Deutsches Theater .

In Leipzig , at the Deutsches Volkstheater in Vienna under Walter Bruno Iltz and later at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich and in Zurich , Siedel acted as senior director. From the 1930s he increasingly took on film roles in which he often portrayed bizarre characters. Since 1954 he has been on the stage of the Schiller Theater and the Schlossparktheater in Berlin , he also worked for the radio and as a playwright .
