Eric Jay Dolin

Eric Jay Dolin (born December 1, 1961 in Queens , New York City , USA ) is an American author and contributor to various public and private environmental protection organizations .

Life

Dolin grew up on the coasts of the states of New York and Connecticut . He completed his bachelor's degree in biology and environmental issues from Brown University in Providence , Rhode Island . He received an MA from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University , followed by a PhD in environmental planning and environmental policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts .

Dolin worked for the US Federal Environmental Protection Agency as a program manager and environmental consultant at the privately held Booz Allen Hamilton . He also worked for the National Wildlife Federation , the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management , for US Senator Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. in Washington, DC, and as a fisheries policy advisor for the National Marine Fisheries Service . He wrote technical reports for the National Transportation Safety Board .

Dolin lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts with his wife and two children .
