Erich Deisler

Erich Deisler (born July 7, 1915 in Hamburg ; † July 16, 1999 there ) was a German table tennis player . In 1934 he was German individual champion.

Deisler began playing table tennis when he was ten. He first joined the SV St. Georg club and in 1930 moved to Hamburger SV , where he stayed until the end of his career.

Between 1933 and 1936 he played 10 international matches. In 1934 he became the German individual champion, after which he paused for two years because of military service. In 1937 he reached the final of the German championship, which he lost. With his club Hamburger SV he was German team champion in 1937 and 1938.

Deisler was a pediatrician in Hamburg-Eilbek . He was married and had a son (* 1957) and a daughter.
