Erich Uschner

Erich Uschner (born April 18, 1920 in Dresden , † September 16, 1982 in Rostock ) was a German functionary of the GDR block party LDPD . He was chairman of the Rostock district board of the LDPD.

Life

Uschner, a commercial clerk by profession, did military service in the Navy during World War II . He later qualified as a political scientist.

In 1949 he joined the LDPD. He was temporarily deputy chairman of the council of the Sömmerda district . He was then chairman of the LDPD district association Loburg and was elected a member of the Magdeburg district assembly in 1954. From 1955 to 1962 he was department head in the LDPD central board in Berlin . From 1963 to May 1982 he acted as chairman of the LDPD district board of Rostock, at the same time he was a member of the central board of the LDPD and member of the Rostock district assembly.

Uschner was released from the position of LDPD district chairman on May 6, 1982 for health reasons. He died four months later at the age of 62 and was buried in Rostock's Westfriedhof.
