biography

Fisher learned to ski at the age of three. In 2004 he was admitted to the US ski association as a junior runner, and has been a member of the B team since 2006. Fisher denied his first FIS race in December 2001. In the Nor-Am Cup he started for the first time in February 2003, the first victory followed on December 9, 2005 in the downhill from Lake Louise . So far, Fisher has won a total of eight races in the Nor-Am Cup, with which he reached second place in the overall standings in 2006 and 2007 and won the Super-G classification and the downhill classification twice. In 2005 he reached third place in the downhill at the Junior World Championships .

Fisher made his debut in the World Cup in November 2005. After he was unable to compete for most of the 2007/08 season due to a cruciate ligament injury, it was not until December 5, 2008, when he finished 28th for the first time in the downhill of Beaver Creek Won world cup points. Just two weeks later, on December 20th, Fisher finished seventh in the downhill run from Val Gardena - his best result so far. He was similarly successful in the downhill from Kitzbühel on January 24, 2009, where he finished 11th. At the 2009 World Championships in Val-d'Isère , he dropped out in the downhill, in the super combination he did without a start in the slalom after finishing 28th in the downhill.

Fisher could not connect to the World Cup results of the 2008/09 season . In the 2009/10 season he was twice in the top 20; in the winter of 2010/11 only twice among the fastest 30. A hand injury prevented a start at the 2010 Winter Olympics ; for the 2011 World Cup he was not nominated by the US Federation. In the Nor-Am Cup, Fisher reached two podium places in the downhill in the 2010/11 season and thus came sixth in the discipline ranking. On December 6, 2011, Fisher won the Nor-Am-Super-G from Nakiska and in February 2012 he achieved his best World Cup results in three years with two 12th places in the downhill runs from Chamonix . In March 2012, the season ended prematurely for him. After falling on the slopes of Sochi and Kvitfjell , he had to undergo cruciate ligament surgery.

In the 2013/14 season , Fisher drove back to the World Cup. His best result was a 13th place in the downhill from Val Gardena and ended his career at the end of the season.
