Erik Haffner (born January 27, 1976 in Kaiserslautern in the Erfenbach district ) is a German director and author .

Life

After primary school in Erfenbach, he attended grammar school at Rittersberg from 1986 to 1995 , where he passed his Abitur in 1995. He then did an internship as an editor and camera assistant at Cinevideo . He completed his studies from 1996 to 1998 up to the intermediate diploma at the University of Landau in the subject of educational sciences with a focus on media education . In 1998 he went to Munich to work for the bumm film production company founded by Tommy Krappweis in the same year , where he worked as a screenwriter, director and, from 2000, as deputy managing director. There he developed formats for ProSieben , RTL and KiKA . Haffner has been working as a freelancer since 2012. He directed the series Ladykracher , Pastewka , Hubert and Staller and the series Sketch History, which won the German Comedy Prize in 2016 and 2017 .

In addition to his work as a director, Haffner also works as a book author. With Bernhard Hoëcker and Tobias Zimmermann he wrote the two books Hoëcker's Entdeckungen and Lost Places in Germany . In the Ullstein publishing house appeared Umm is not an answer (2014) and PS .: The flash should you make when you shitting! (2017), both of which he wrote with David Gromer .
