The Volkswagen Coaching GmbH was a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG . The core competence of the company lay in training and further education , management consulting and management development . In addition to the headquarters in Wolfsburg, there were other locations in Braunschweig , Kassel , Hanover , Emden and Salzgitter .

Around 660 employees were responsible for looking after and hiring interns , apprentices , trainees and direct entrants as well as for the further development of existing employees. Among other things, assessment centers , excursions , seminars and programs to promote young talent were carried out and entire training facilities - for example for learning craft professions - were made available.

VW Coaching offered its services across the group and for external companies. This resulted in a turnover of over 127 million euros in 2008.

On January 1, 2013, Volkswagen Coaching GmbH was incorporated into Volkswagen AG and ceased to exist as an independent company in the sense of a GmbH. The company's facilities will now continue to operate as Volkswagen Academies under the umbrella of the Volkswagen Group Academy .
