Adjacent are the places Zeubelried , Sommerhausen and Kaltensondheim , which already belongs to the Kitzingen district. Adjacent is a nature reserve called " Zeubelrieder Moor ".

The place Erlach is predominantly agricultural. The Erlach moated castle stands out from the rural property in the center of the village . It was built in the 12th century by the Lords of Erlach (mentioned in 1151 ). Other owners were the lords of Seinsheim , who later became Schwarzenberg.
On July 1, 1972 Erlach was incorporated into the city of Ochsenfurt.
