Ernesto Mandara (born July 24, 1952 in Positano , Province of Salerno , Italy ) is Bishop of Sabina-Poggio Mirteto .

Life

Before Mandara entered the high school of the boys' college of the territorial prelature Pompei , he attended the state middle school in Positano. He then attended the Roman Boys' Seminary and finally entered the Pontifical Roman Seminary as an alumnus . He studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the Pontifical Lateran University and the Pontifical Gregorian University . He completed his training at the Pontifical Alfonsian Academy affiliated to the Lateran University .

Ernesto Mandara was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Amalfi-Cava de 'Tirreni on April 22, 1978 .

On April 2, 2004, Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Turris in Mauretania and auxiliary bishop in Rome . The episcopal ordination received his Cardinal Vicar Camillo Ruini on June 5 of that year; Co- consecrators were Luigi Moretti , auxiliary bishop in Rome, and Giuseppe Mani , archbishop of Cagliari . As a motto he chose Quod Dei Deo .

On June 10, 2011 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Sabina-Poggio Mirteto. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on August 28 of the same year.
