Lino Fumagalli (born May 13, 1947 in Rome ) is Bishop of Viterbo .

Life

Lino Fumagalli was ordained a deacon on January 3, 1971 and was ordained a priest for the diocese of Porto-Santa Rufina on July 24 of the same year . In 1973 he obtained a licentiate in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University and in 1975 a licentiate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Lateran University . On November 14, 1985, Pope John Paul II awarded him the title of Honorary Prelate of His Holiness .

John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Sabina-Poggio Mirteto on December 31, 1999 . The episcopal ordination donated him to the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Lucas Moreira Neves Cardinal OP , on 20 February 2000, the episcopal ordination; Co- consecrators were Antonio Buoncristiani , Bishop of Porto-Santa Rufina, and Salvatore Boccaccio , Bishop of Frosinone-Veroli-Ferentino . As a motto he chose In verbo tuo .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Viterbo on December 11, 2010; the ceremonial inauguration ( enthronement ) in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo in Viterbo took place on February 27, 2011.
