The diocese of Frosinone-Veroli-Ferentino was established in the 8th century as the diocese of Veroli and directly subordinated to the Holy See . The diocese of Veroli was renamed the Diocese of Veroli-Frosinone on February 29, 1956 .

On 30 September 1986 the diocese was Veroli-Frosinone by the Congregation for Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis the diocese of Ferentino affiliated.
