Ernst-August von Laffert-Woldeck

Ernst-August von Laffert-Woldeck (born September 4, 1847 in Bückeburg , † October 22, 1891 in Crivitz ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Ernst-August von Laffert was the son of the co-owner of Gut Schwechow and tax director in Celle Carl von Laffert (1811–1888) and his wife Klara, née. von der Wense, daughter of Drosten August von der Wense from Hanover . Laffert studied law at the universities of Heidelberg and Göttingen . He became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg and Hannovera Göttingen . He took part in the Franco-Prussian War as a Prussian prime lieutenant.

Ernst-August von Laffert entered the administrative service of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and became official governor in Grabow . In 1888 there was a royal Prussian name association for his father with that of Woldeck as "von Laffert-Woldeck", linked to the possession of Woldeck's money fideikommiss.

He had been married to Marie Luise von Flotow since 1879 and had two sons with her, one of whom was Ernst von Laffert-Woldeck (* 1883) in 1914 at the Battle of Haelen as first lieutenant and regimental adjutant of the 2nd Grand Duke. Mecklenburg Dragoon Regiment No. 18 fell, and the daughter Karoline Clara (called Carola ; 1880–1962), who became a portrait painter and conventual in the women's monastery in Medingen . Portraits by her hand are in the Schwerin-Mueß open-air museum .
