Ernst-Günther Stegmann

Ernst-Günther Stegmann (born June 6, 1900 in Kaczagorka ; † November 9, 1991 ) was a Hessian politician ( GDP ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Ernst-Günther Stegmann attended the Reform- Gymnasium in Krotoschin and participated in the war from 1918 to 1920. He then did an agricultural apprenticeship on various farms in the province of Poznan . In 1923 he was expelled from Poland for participating in border guard battles, studied agriculture and economics at the Silesian Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Breslau and received his doctorate in 1926 on special factors influencing the fat content of cow's milk. He then worked as a self-employed farmer and in industry in Central Germany.

From 1939 to 1945 he was again a war participant. Stegmann, who spoke Polish, was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class as the leader of a "Polish Command" on October 12, 1939 . Between March 11, 1943 and August 15, 1944 he headed the "Gangs" department in the Foreign Army East General Staff Department, then the "Gangs Poland" group (cf. Partisan # Partisan Combat in World War II ). After escaping and expulsion, he became head of the branch office of the Hessische Heimat Kassel settlement company in Marburg from July 1, 1960 .

politics

Ernst-Günther Stegmann was already politically active in the Weimar Republic from 1926 to 1933 as head of office and mayor of several municipalities. Since February 15, 1934, he belonged to the SA , probably due to taking over from the Stahlhelm, Bund der Frontsoldaten . On May 1, 1937, he was admitted to the NSDAP (membership number 4.295.702).

From March 23, 1966 to June 30, 1974 he was honorary mayor of Wehrshausen and from July 1, 1974 local mayor. After 1946 he was a member of the Wolfhagen District Assembly and from 1958 of the Kassel-Land District Assembly.

From August 9, 1966 to November 30, 1966 he was a member of the Hessian Landtag for the All-German Party .

Other offices

1950 to 1957 he was district chairman of the BvD district association Wolfhagen and from 1960 to 1963 of the district association Kassel. Since 1966 he was a member of the board of the rural people committee in the regional association of the BvD Hessen in Wiesbaden.
