The Ernst-Schlee-Gymnasium was a new language high school in Hamburg-Groß Flottbek am Ohlenkamp between Kalckreuthweg and Osdorfer Landstraße.
history
The educational reformer Ernst Schlee founded in 1870 as a pioneer of modern languages teaching in Altona a reform school where he imposed a high school without Latin and Greek. In 1934, on the occasion of Ernst Schlee's 100th birthday, the school was named Schlee Reform School .
After the Second World War, the Schleeschule building no longer existed. Therefore the lessons were held in the rooms of the Christianeum . In Groß Flottbek, a new building was built for the Ernst-Schlee-Gymnasium , to which the first Schlee students could move in August 1955. It was not until the summer of 1960 that all classes were fully relocated.
On August 1, 1997, the high school was closed. The state commercial school H6 Altona and the district school Flottbek are housed in its buildings today .
Ernst Schlee school camp in Nieblum
In 1925, parents and teachers at the Schleeschule got together to buy the “Föhrer Hof” inn in Nieblum on Föhr . The classes from the Schleeschule regularly went there for school trips. In the following years the home was expanded and expanded with great commitment.
After the Ernst-Schlee-Gymnasium closed, the Othmarschen Gymnasium took over the sponsorship. The name Ernst-Schlee-Schullandheim remained.
