Ernst Friedrich von Eicke (born August 24, 1828 in Jätzdorf ; † July 6, 1887 in Breslau ) was a Silesian manor owner and politician.

Life

origin

He was the son of the royal Prussian major Friedrich Adam von Eicke (born September 24, 1780 in Pfaffendorf , Neumarkt district ; † May 10, 1862 in Marschwitz ) and Karoline Brettschneider (born December 19, 1799 in Rosenhain ; † December 17 1879 in Marschwitz). His father was the master of Marschwitz , Peltschütz and Polwitz , Liegnitz district. The von Eicke family, originally von Eicke and Pohlwitz, belong to the Silesian nobility and are first mentioned in a document on August 14, 1334 with Peczko Eycke.

Career

Emil Ernst Friedrich von Eicke attended the Friedrichsgymnasium in Breslau and studied law in Berlin . He finished his military service as a prime lieutenant and was the owner of the Polwitz estates near Ohlau and Krentsch in the Strehlen district . From 1873 to 1886 he was district administrator of the Ohlau district . From 1873 he was also chamberlain .

From 1866 to 1867 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1867 to May 1868 he was also a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Breslau 5 ( Ohlau , Strehlen , Nimptsch ). In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament . He was of a conservative disposition , but remained non-attached in the Reichstag.

Eicke married Vally Eva von Rosenberg-Lipinsky (born August 15, 1831 in Jakobine; † July 17, 1914 in Breslau) in Jakobine on October 30, 1853. She was the daughter of August von Rosenberg-Lipinsky auf Jakobine and Dremling and Emilie von Frankenberg and Poschlitz.
