Ernst Julius von Seidlitz-Sandreczki

Ernst Julius Adolf Erdmann Friedrich Graf von Seidlitz-Sandreczki (born December 29, 1863 in Habendorf , Reichenbach district , † August 3, 1930 at Olbersdorf Castle ) was a German majorate and parliamentarian.

Life

Ernst Julius von Seidlitz studied at the Universities of Heidelberg and Goettingen jurisprudence . In 1883 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . In Göttingen he was a fellow corps student at Corps Saxonia , which awarded him the corps ribbon in 1887 . In 1887 he passed the trainee examination. Initially trainee lawyer, in 1889 he became master of the 7600 hectare Majorate Langenbielau , which he inherited in 1886 from his uncle Hans von Sandreczky . In 1891 he was raised to Count von Seidlitz-Sandreczky and in 1894 appointed hereditary member of the Prussian manor house .

After the sovereign summit episcopate was abolished in 1918, Seidlitz-Sandreczky was considered one of the most influential members of the Church Senate of the Prussian Union Church . He was one of the faithful Lutherans in his church who gathered at the so-called "August Conference".

Von Seidlitz-Sandreczky was hereditary marshal in the Duchy of Silesia as well as state elder and district deputy. He belonged to the Dragoon Regiment No. 12 as Rittmeister of the reserve. He was commander of the Silesian Cooperative of the Order of St. John and an honorary doctorate in theology (Dr. theol. Hc) from the University of Greifswald .

His son Adolf (1896–1945) was also involved in the church and was a member of the Confessing Church in the church struggle .
