Ertl Glas Stadium

The Ertl-Glas-Stadion is a stadium in Amstetten . The SKU Amstetten plays its home games from this stadium. However, SKU supporters still call the venue "Union-Platz" (former name).

In 2007 and 2008 the stadium was completely renovated and expanded and offers 600 covered seats and standing places on the "Sparkassen-Tribüne" (west side) and approx. 400 covered standing places on the "North Stand", where the (mostly young people ) Finds a following of the SKU. During the 2015 summer break, another grandstand with around 700 seats, a VIP area and additional standing room was built on the long eastern side of the field. Together with additional standing space between the stands, there is a total capacity of around 3000 spectators.

The state of Lower Austria supported the renovation and expansion measures that began in 2014 with around 750,000 euros. The city of Amstetten made 400,000 euros available.

Audience numbers

Up until the 2007/08 season, when the SKU was still playing in the 1st regional league of Lower Austria, a few hundred spectators came. In the first season in the Regionalliga Ost 2008/09 one booked an average of 980 spectators per game. This value could almost be maintained except for the RL season 2016/17 (766 spectators). In the 2nd Bundesliga, the average 2018/19 was raised to 1281 viewers.
