Erwin Heck (born January 27, 1928 in Gundersheim , People's State of Hesse ) is a German politician of the FDP and former State Secretary in Rhineland-Palatinate .

education and profession

After completing his business diploma in 1948 at the Friedrich List Business School in Mannheim , Heck did an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk from 1948 to 1950. He then studied business administration and business education from 1951 to 1954 at the Mannheim Business School, graduating as a business teacher . Heck was then a trainee lawyer at the commercial vocational school in Worms in 1954 and 1955 . From 1955 to 1987 he was a teacher at the vocational school in Alzey / Rheinhessen, and from 1968 Heck was senior director at this school.

Heck has been a member of the FDP since 1961, from 1962 to 1993 he was chairman of the FDP district association Worms / Land and Alzey-Worms, he was a member of the Rheinhessen-Vorderpfalz district council from 1962 to 1993 and of the Rhineland-Palatinate FDP state council from 1982 until 1993.

Local politics

Heck is the founder of the Association of Liberal Local Politicians in Rhineland-Palatinate and was its chairman from 1979 to 1988. From 1961 to 1999 he was a member of the FDP community council in his home community of Gundersheim . He was a member of the district council of the Worms district from 1964 to 1969. In the newly formed district of Alzey-Worms , Heck was district deputy from 1969 to 1987, and first deputy of the district administrator from 1974 to 1984. From 1989 to 1994 he was again a member of the district council. From 1984 to 1999 he was also a council member of the Westhofen community in Rheinhessen.

Public offices

After the re-entry of the FDP into the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1987 and the formation of a coalition government of the CDU and FDP, Heck was appointed State Secretary of the Vogel IV cabinet to the Ministry of Culture and took over responsibility for science, research, and research under Minister Georg Gölter .
