The Verbandsgemeinde Westhofen was an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional body in the Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The municipality included ten separate local churches at the administrative headquarters was in the eponymous municipality Westhofen . The Verbandsgemeinde Westhofen merged into the Verbandsgemeinde Wonnegau on July 1, 2014 .

The Verbandsgemeinde Westhofen had only two mayors during its entire existence. From 1972 to 2002 it was Peter Nauth, followed by Walter Wagner. Both were members of the CDU.

On July 1, 2014, the community of Westhofen merged with the previously independent town of Osthofen to form the new community of Wonnegau . This has its administrative headquarters in Osthofen, a second administrative office will remain in Westhofen.
