The municipality includes the city of Wörrstadt and twelve independent local communities , the administrative seat is in the eponymous city of Wörrstadt.

The Verbandsgemeinde was formed on June 20, 1972 as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate functional and territorial reform .

Culture and sights
The VG Wörrstadt has been organizing a wine festival once a year on the first weekend in June in one of its local communities since 1980 .

- Saulheim: Menhir, ev. Church in Nieder-Saulheim, ev. Church in Ober-Saulheim, Ritter Hundt statue, castle, office building.
- Schornsheim: statue of St. Lioba, village well, cath. St. Wigbert Church.
- Spiesheim: Singing hall, mountain church with defensive tower, Wingert tower, half-timbered tower.
- Sulzheim: cath. Church of St. Philip and James, well on the B420 .
- Udenheim: mountain church, palm stone, bell tower on the market square.
- Vendersheim: Protestant church, "Rondell" lookout point, Wingertshäuschen.
- Wallertheim: Protestant church, 2000 year old glass dog exhibited in the Landesmuseum Mainz .
