The Archdiocese Guiyang ( lat. : Archidioecesis Coeiiamensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Guiyang .

history

The Archdiocese of Guiyang was on October 15, 1696 by Pope Innocent XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution E sublimi Sedis from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Fujian as Apostolic Vicariate Guizhou . In 1715, the Guizhou Apostolic Vicariate was dissolved and the area was incorporated into the Sichuan Apostolic Vicariate .

On March 27, 1846, the Vicariate Apostolic Guizhou by Pope Gregory XVI. re-established with the Apostolic Constitution Ex debito from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of Sichuan . The Apostolic Vicariate of Guizhou was renamed the Apostolic Vicariate of Guiyang on December 3, 1924 . On February 16, 1922, the Apostolic Vicariate Guiyang gave parts of its territory to the establishment of the Apostolic Vicariate Anlong . Another cession took place on March 23, 1932 to establish the Mission sui juris Shiqian .

The Apostolic Vicariate Guiyang was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to an archbishopric with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos .
