The Archdiocese of Parakou (Latin Archidioecesis Parakuensis , French Archidiocèse de Parakou ) is an archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Benin with its seat in Parakou .

The forerunner of today's Archdiocese of Parakou is the 1948 by Pope Pius XII. established Parakou Apostolic Prefecture , which was founded out of Niamey Prefecture in Niger. 1964 took place by Paul VI. the elevation to the diocese and in 1997 by John Paul II the elevation to the archbishopric .

The dioceses of Djougou , Kandi , Natitingou and N'Dali were founded from territorial assignments .
