history
The Archeparch of Banyas was established on February 25, 1886 as the Eparchy of Banyas . It was subordinated to the Archparchy of Tire as a suffragan diocese. On November 18, 1964, the eparchy Banyas by Pope Paul VI. raised to an arch parish.
