The Escotais (also known as the Nais in the lower reaches ) is a river in France that runs through the Center-Val de Loire and Pays de la Loire regions. It rises in the municipality of Neuillé-Pont-Pierre , drains generally in a north-west direction and flows into the Loir as a left tributary after around 24 kilometers in the municipality of Dissay-sous-Courcillon . On its way, the Escotais crosses the Indre-et-Loire and Sarthe departments and is accompanied by the Tours – Le Mans railway line .
