Espen Lien
Espen Lien is a Norwegian bass player . He is a member of the band Audrey Horne and previously played with Barbie Bones , Slut Machine and Trinacria .
Career
Lien began his career in 1989 with the band Barbie Bones, with whom he released two studio albums. In 1992 the band was awarded the Spellemannprisen , the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Award . A year later, the Barbie Bones broke up. Espen Lien then joined the thrash metal band Slut Machine, who released their only studio album in 1996.
After a break of several years, Lien joined the Trinacria project in 2005, which was founded by members of the Viking metal band Enslaved and the noise band Fe-Mail . The project published their only work Travel Now Journey Infinitely in 2008 . At Trinacria, Lien met guitarist Arve Isdal , who, in addition to Enslaved, also plays in the hard rock band Audrey Horne.
Since Audrey Horne didn't have a bass player after Tom Cato Visnes left, Espen Lien helped up as a live musician from 2009 and played as a guest musician on the 2010 album Audrey Horne . While working on the album Youngblood , released three years later , Lien eventually became a full member of the band. He also contributes background vocals at concerts .
