IR3535 is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA , which is used exclusively by Merck and its licensees as the name for ethyl butyl acetyl aminopropionate for commercial purposes.

Ethyl butyl acetyl aminopropionate is used as a repellent against insects. The activity against Anopheles gambiae was weaker in field tests than that of diethyltoluamide and icaridine .
