Eugen Einman , native Eugen-man (born September 23 . Jul / 6. October  1905 greg. In Tallinn , Governorate of Estonia ; † 12. September 1963 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) was an Estonian football - and Bandyspieler .

Career and life

In 1918, Einman left elementary school in Reval . During this time he was already playing soccer with his friends Eduard Ellman-Eelma and Eduard Maurer . From 1923 he played at SK Tallinna Sport and Tallinna JK and was six times Estonian champion. Einman played for the Estonian national football team from 1923 to 1935. He did not miss any Estonian football match between September 14, 1924 and August 17, 1932 and thus played 45 international matches in a row, which is an Estonian record to date. As the first Estonian footballer in history, he made 50 international appearances. After Evald Tipner , Einmann was the player with the second-most stakes before World War II. In 1924, Einman competed with Estonia in the Summer Olympics in Paris . However, it was not used there. With the national team he took part in the Baltic Cup six times ( 1928 , 1929 , 1930 , 1931 , 1933 , 1935 ). In 1929 and 1931 he won the title with the team. In 1929 he was also the top scorer . He also practiced boxing and wrestling .

In 1970 he was one of the authors of the book Jalgpall. Minevikust tänapäevani ("Football. From the past to the present").

Eugen Einman died in Tallinn in 1963 at the age of 57. He is buried in the cemetery in the Juhkentali district .
