Eugen Richter (politician, 1883)

Eugen Richter (born September 11, 1883 , † March 7, 1973 in Wuppertal ) was a German engineer and politician ( FDP ).

After studying engineering , Richter took over a craft business. He rose to the position of master craftsman and later became chairman of the Wuppertal district craftsmen .

On January 16, 1946, he was elected the first Lord Mayor of Wuppertal in Germany in the post-war period after the Second World War . He resigned from office on October 30 of the same year. His successor was Robert Daum .
