Andreas Mucke
Andreas Mucke (born September 18, 1966 in Wuppertal ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and since October 21, 2015 Lord Mayor of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Wuppertal in the Bergisches Land .
Life
After graduating from high school at Bayreuther Straße , he began studying engineering, safety technology , with a focus on environmental protection technology, at the comprehensive university in Wuppertal , which he completed with a diploma. He then worked for the Research Association for Materials and Tools in Remscheid and from 2000 to 2011 headed the sales department for private and commercial customers of the Wuppertaler Stadtwerke . In July 2011 he moved to Wuppertaler Quartierentwicklungs GmbH as managing director. On October 30, 2015, Mucke said goodbye to the ensemble of the TiC Theater , for which he worked for many years.
Mucke has three sons.

Andreas Mucke joined the SPD in 1982 and held various positions: from 1988 to 1992 he was a member of the student parliament and the university's convent and from 1990 to 1994 he was Wuppertal Juso chairman. From 1994 to 2011 Mucke was a member of the city council and held a. a. the role of deputy group chairman . In terms of specialist policy, he was the parliamentary group's spokesman for social and youth policy as well as environmental policy.
On September 27, 2015, Andreas Mucke was elected Lord Mayor of the City of Wuppertal with 59.70% in a run-off election and beat the incumbent and candidate of the CDU Peter Jung (40.30%).
