Eugen von Sperber

Benjamin Franz Eugen von Sperber (born December 14, 1808 in Nassawen , Stallupönen district ; † March 11, 1879 at Gut Gerskullen , Ragnit district ) was an East Prussian manor owner and politician.

origin

Emil was the son of the landowner and district administrator of the Ragnit district Benjamin Sperber (1763-1824) and his wife Julianne Schlick (1786-1861). Together with his brothers Emil (1815–1880) and Julius (1811–1895) he was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility on January 16, 1869 by King Wilhelm I.

Life

Eugen von Sperber attended the grammar school in Tilsit until 1827 . He then studied law in Königsberg and Berlin until 1830 . He was a one-year volunteer and agricultural volunteer on several estates in East Prussia and Pomerania . He took over the administration of the paternal estate Gerskullen as well as the estates Kallehnen, Ußeinen, Grauden and Skatticken, all in the district of Ragnit. In 1869 he was raised to the Prussian nobility .

In 1847 and 1848 he was a member of the First and Second Prussian United States Parliament . From 1867 to 1871 he was also a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the Reichstag constituency of Gumbinnen 2 . In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament , which met from 1868 to 1870 . He belonged to the Conservative Party .

family

Sparhawk married on July 3, 1834 on Grauden Emilie Donalitius (* July 31, 1816 - December 1, 1876), mistress of Skaticken and Grauden. The couple had several children:
