The main focus of goods traffic on Bentheimer Eisenbahn is sand and gravel transport, agricultural products, oil transport, peat transport, steel transport, animal feed and shipments in combined transport .

With the anticipated strong increase in transport volumes in the port of Rotterdam , it is expected that in future larger volumes will be handled via the Euroterminal in Europark, which as a result could develop into the "dryport" of the port of Rotterdam.
