The EurothermenResort Bad Schallerbach is a thermal bath and hotel complex in Bad Schallerbach , Upper Austria .
The resort has around 740,000 visitors a year. Like the facilities in Bad Hall and Bad Ischl , it is part of the EurothermenResorts .
history
Bad Schallerbach has a sulphurous spring which is 460 m deep and has been used for spa and bathing operations since 1918 . A second source has also been used since 1979.
The facility was reopened in 1995 after extensive expansion (including the construction of the Aquapulco adventure pool and the hotel) of the thermal baths that had existed since 1918.
In 2009 the Upper Austrian State Garden Show Botanica took place in the hotel park of the Thermenhotel Paradiso , which attracted more than 360,000 visitors.

The thermal baths are part of the EurothermenResorts umbrella brand of OÖ Thermenholding GmbH, Upper Austria's largest tourism company, which is also headquartered here , for the purpose of joint market strategy positioning . It is 99.72% owned by the State of Upper Austria , the scattered luminosity lies with the market communities Bad Schallerbach (0.2%), Wallern (0.1%), Tourismusverband Vitalwelt (0.1%), Upper Austria. Regional Health Insurance Fund (0.1%) and a number of individuals.
The General Director of Eurothermen Resorts was Markus Achleitner , and Thomas Prenneis succeeded him in this role on December 1, 2018. Achleitner was honored with its own milestone on the newly established thermal bath promenade in summer 2018 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bad Schallerbach thermal spring.
Infrastructure
The resort is divided into the family-oriented adventure Aquapulco , the spa Tropicana , the sauna complex Relaxium , which is connected to the Therme Hotel Paradiso , the health center Physikarium and the convention center atrium on.
Thermenhotel Paradiso
The 4-star Hotel Paradiso is located in a 22-hectare park and has 150 rooms and suites in various categories. In addition, the hotel offers a 3,600 m² wellness area with six saunas and steam baths as well as an outdoor pool with 34 ° C warm water.
Aquapulco adventure pool
In 1995 the Aquapulco was built. On July 1st, 2011 the Aquapulco Pirate World was opened which is geared towards families with children and offers numerous attractions:

Tropicana thermal baths
The Therme Tropicana opened on October 1st, 2011 and offers South Sea flair with palm trees and the following areas:

- Thermal pools with whirlpool loungers, bubble seats and massage jets
- Three health pools (sulfur grotto , brine bath and iodine - selenium bath )
- Coral grotto with a marine aquarium
- Meditation pool
Sauna landscape AusZeit
The sauna area was opened on October 10, 2015 and offers various saunas and whirlpools , infrared heat cabins and a brine steam bath. There is also a nudist area with a pool and whirlpool.
Physikarium health center
The focus of the Physikarium therapy center is primarily on alleviating or eliminating problems of the musculoskeletal system. The Schallerbacher sulfur thermal water is used, which is particularly suitable for this.
Conference center atrium
The conference center offers various large and combinable seminar rooms that can accommodate up to 170 people. There is also a conference room with 400 m² and space for up to 700 people. The adjoining Hotel Paradiso has another seminar room with around 160 m².
