Euzébius Chinekezy Ogbonna Managwu (born December 13, 1959 in N'Djamena , Chad ) is a Gabonese Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Port-Gentil .

Life

Euzébius Chinekezy Ogbonna Managwu was born to Nigerian parents in Chad and immigrated to Gabon as a child. Raised and at home in the local culture, he attended the Catholic school and for a time also the state university in Libreville . He entered the boys' seminary in Libreville and then studied at the seminary in Brazzaville from 1985 to 1992 . On November 1, 1992, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Libreville .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Port-Gentil on January 12, 2016. The Archbishop of Libreville, Basile Mvé Engone , ordained him episcopal on April 3 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Owerri , Anthony John Valentine Obinna , and the Bishop of Kinkala , Louis Portella Mbuyu .
