Eva Croissant (born February 9, 1991 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) is a German singer and songwriter .

Career

Croissant grew up in Kleinfischlingen on her parents' organic farm. She attended elementary school in Edesheim , then the Otto Hahn Gymnasium in Landau in the Palatinate . After her parents divorced in 2006, she moved to Karlsruhe with her father and attended the Kant-Gymnasium there . In the eleventh grade, she dropped out of school. In 2008 she then moved to a shared apartment in Marburg , where she worked on a mini-job basis in an organic bakery and began to earn a living herself. At that time she was already playing more and more gigs across Germany, e.g. B. at open stages, band and songwriter competitions, on cabaret stages and private parties. In 2009 she moved to Leipzig and from then on lived as a songwriter . She constantly commuted between her new adopted home and the more frequent appearances in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Hesse, which is why she left her self-titled "favorite city" again in the following year, 2010, and moved into a shared apartment in downtown Karlsruhe.

In 2011 Eva Croissant took part in the Rhineland-Palatinate newcomer competition Rockbuster , where she reached the finals. In February 2012 she released her debut album You are not just anyone . From October to November 2012 she took part in the second season of the singing casting show The Voice of Germany in Berlin . Her own composition, Dein Herz carries Felsen , made it into the German single charts at number 77, and her cover version of “You or I (or we all)” by Mikroboy even made it to number 55. Her album “You are not just anyone “Landed at number 88 in the German album charts. In the group of Nena , she retired after two out of four possible live show appearances.

In 2015 she moved to Berlin , in 2016 she formed the duo Zwei von Mio with Felix Räuber , in May 2018 she released her second, self-produced and crowdfunded album “Einfach du sein”.
