Eva D. Heller (born April 8, 1948 in Esslingen am Neckar ; † January 31, 2008 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German writer and social scientist .

Life

Eva Heller grew up in Ludwigsburg . She studied sociology and psychology in Berlin . Eva Heller had degrees as a state-certified advertising economist (Hochschule der Künste Berlin, 1973), a qualified sociologist (Free University of Berlin, 1978) and Dr. phil. For a short time Heller was also a professor : in 1985/1986 she took over a professorship for one year at the Technical University of Darmstadt , where she taught advertising psychology and color psychology . The novel had a circulation of several million and has been translated into more than 20 languages ​​worldwide. Her second novel, The Man Who Is Worth It (1993), had a circulation of millions and was on all bestseller lists. Both books were the most widely read books in Germany. Her two subsequent novels were also bestsellers: First Revenge, Then Pleasure (1997) and Which should I take? (2003).

At the same time, Eva Heller was known as a cartoonist . From 1981 she drew cartoons, which she recorded with 'Eva H.' signed. She has published in the magazines Stern and Brigitte and published two cartoon books.

Heller also wrote scientific books on the effects of advertising and the effects of colors. She was an expert on the effects of colors, gave lectures and prepared reports for companies. Her books on colors were also bestsellers, translated into many languages ​​around the world.

Heller was also a children's book author. She published a children's book on colors, The True Story of All Colors . She also wrote a children's musical for this book. The fairy tale book Melitta's wonderful transformation was intended to encourage children to read. In 1996 the Christmas book The Unexpected Gift from Santa Claus and Mrs. Luck and Mr. Love was published with illustrations by Michael Sowa .

In the summer semester of 1990 she was visiting professor for communication psychology at the University of the Arts in Berlin .

Eva Heller was married to Dieter Prokop , sociology professor at the University of Frankfurt.

Eva Heller died on January 31, 2008 at the age of 59 after suffering a stroke .
