history

Waizenbach originally belonged to the original parish Wolfsmünster and later became an independent parish. In the period from 1827 to 1929 Waizenbach was also the seat of a deanery.

Before today's Protestant church was built, there was a collegiate church in Waizenbach with a church tower from 1583 and a nave from 1733. This church was renovated from 1795 to 1797. On April 5, 1945 it was destroyed by American low-flying aircraft as part of the Second World War .

The current church dates from 1948 and was consecrated on September 24, 1950.

description

The nave has three window axes . The north-east oriented choir has a three-eighths closure . The church tower is to the south of the nave.

Furnishing

Most of the furnishings were created in the 20th century. The baptismal font, created in 1583, was taken over from the destroyed church and, along with three grave slabs of the donors, was placed in the choir room. The two bells in the church tower were cast in 1599 and 1735.
