Evangelical Church Ausbach
The Protestant church is a listed church building in Ausbach , a district of the Hohenroda community in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district ( Hesse ). It belongs to the parish of Ransbach-Ausbach in the Hersfeld parish, which belongs to the Hersfeld district of the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck .
History and architecture
The baroque hall with a mansard roof was probably built by Adam Joh. Erdinger in 1730. On the west side there is a six-sided tower with a hooded lantern . The round posts of the three-sided gallery , raised to the ceiling, carry the barrel vault . The church stands in the middle of a fortified cemetery whose circular walls have been preserved.
Furnishing
- The pulpit is behind the altar .
- The parapet panels and the barrel are brightly painted.
- The organ was built by Joh. Weyer in 1734.
