The Evangelical Parish Church Egelsbach is a Protestant church in Egelsbach in the Offenbach district in Hesse .

Architecture and history

The parish church in Egelsbach is a plastered hall building with a high pointed helmet - turret and a shield gable . It arose from the extension of a Gothic chapel that was positioned across from it . The northern extension dates from 1615, the southern extension from 1751. From the previous building, a portal with vestments from 1614, the walled up choir arch and the choir foundations have been preserved.

With a renovation in 1960, the painting was in Art Nouveau - ornamentation of 1912 - after a design by Friedrich Pützer - away. At the same time remains of frescoes (around 1330) and a cross (around 1615) were uncovered.

The gallery is decorated with depictions of the apostles in the parapet from 1751. The crucifix dates from 1698.

The organ from 1792 is the work of Christian Ernst Schöler .

The parish church of Egelsbach is a cultural monument because of its architectural and historical importance .
