Building history and architecture

Layout

The church was first built in 1523 as a three-bay hall church in the Gothic style . Between 1752 and 1759 part of the eastern yoke was removed and a rectangular extension was added to the east, which is wider than the old nave . The west tower was built in 1801.

The two and a half remaining yokes of the nave are equipped with ribbed vaults , which were renewed in the eastern half yoke 1954–1956. The windows in the older part of the church are ogival and partly with tracery , and in the extension they are rounded .

Furnishing

The oldest parts of the furnishings are a twelve-armed bronze chandelier from the Renaissance , a gallery dated 1604 and the baroque altar . During the renovation of the vault in the 1950s, ceiling paintings that date from the second quarter of the 16th century were uncovered.
