Evelyn Ruzicka

Evelyn Ruzicka (born October 10, 1982 in Oberndorf near Salzburg ) is an Austrian actress , singer and songwriter .

Ruzicka grew up in Mattsee (Land Salzburg) and Linz (Upper Austria). At the age of 13 she attended the music high school in Vienna. There she sang in the school band and played in the school theater.

After graduating from high school, Ruzicka studied acting at the Vienna Conservatory from 2003 to 2007 ; she also attended the Vienna Film School. She completed her studies in June 2007 with a bachelor's degree . During her studies she played in theater performances at the conservatory and appeared as an apprentice at the theater in der Josefstadt . In the 2006/07 season Ruzicka took on the role of daughter Erna in Thomas Bernhard's play Der Theatermacher at the Theater in der Josefstadt . In 2007 she took on the role of Carolin in the Austrian premiere of the play Schöne Bescherung by Anthony Neilson at the Wiener Kammerspiele .

She then got an ensemble engagement at the children and youth theater Next Liberty in Graz , where she was a permanent member from 2007 to 2008; Since 2008 she has also taken on acting and musical roles at the Graz Opera . She appeared with guest roles at the Schauspielhaus Salzburg . In the 2008/09 season she played Marie in Woyzeck there . When Edith Piaf sang and played there in the piece Piaf . In 2013 Evelyn Ruzicka took the 50th anniversary of Edith Piaf's death as an opportunity to produce the album Evelyn Ruzicka singt Edith Piaf - Une Histoire d'amour on her own ; It was published in autumn 2013. Ruzicka also appeared at the Parndorf Summer Theater (2009; as Celia in As You Like It ) and at the Haag Theater Summer (2014; as Colombina / Mafalda Mezzanote in Zerbinetta's Liberation from Fritz von Herzmanovsky-Orlando ).

In 2011 she released her song Diamant , which was awarded the “Most Emotional Song 2011” by Newcomer Radio Germany.

Ruzicka worked in a few short films as well as with small roles in television films, a. a. as a pharmacist in the Austrian comedy film Suddenly fat! (2011), and TV series with. In 2015 she played her first leading role in the movie Centaurus . The film premiered at the Diagonale film festival in Graz .

Ruzicka lives in Vienna .
