Rycklon Stephens (born April 22, 1978 in Guyana ), better known under the ring name Ezekiel Jackson , is a Guyanese bodybuilder and wrestler who was under contract with the WWE .

The greatest achievement of his career was the receipt of the wrestling title ECW Championship on February 16, 2010. He is recognized by the WWE as the last ECW champion.

Career

Florida Championship Wrestling (2007-2008)

Stephens at FCW

In March 2007, Stephens signed a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and made his debut in their Florida Championship Wrestling development league . In his first match on June 27 of that year he tagged with Keith Walker and defeated Kofi Kingston and Eric Pérez. He played both tag team matches and individual matches for promotion. On February 8, 2008, he and his tag team partner Bryan Kelly lost a match against Steve Lewington and Heath Miller in a mini-tournament in which the winners received a match against WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz . His last appearance at FCW was on May 6, 2008, before he was appointed to the main roster of the WWE.

SmackDown! (2008-2009)

On July 18, 2008, Stephens made his WWE debut on Friday Night SmackDown . He received the bodyguard Ezekiel's gimmick from The Brian Kendrick . On August 8, his ring name was changed to Ezekiel Jackson. According storyline he reached into his struggles against in favor of Kendrick Jeff Hardy , Finlay and WWE Champion Triple H one. Stephens played his first own fight on October 17th of that year against Super Crazy, which he quickly defeated. As a result, he formed a tag team with Kendrick , it began an applied feud against the then WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito and Primo (The Colóns); Stephens and Kendrick were not allowed to win the Tag Team titles. On February 13, 2009, Jackson had his first loss in a singles match against R-Truth . Jackson made his last appearance on SmackDown on April 3, 2009, losing to Jeff Hardy.

ECW (2009-2010)

As part of the WWE Supplement Draft, Stephens switched to the Tuesday show ECW on April 15, 2009. After a short stay at FCW, Stephens made his ECW debut on July 9, 2009. On April 15, 2009, Stephens made his debut at ECW, defeating Jack Meridol. According to the storyline, he allied himself with Vladimir Kozlov and William Regal against reigning title holder Christian , only to turn against Kozlov later in the year. On November 24th, he attacked Regal and Kozlov after Kozlov accused him of defeating Regals. A week later he betrayed Regal and Kozlov again for abandoning Kozlov in a tag team match against Christian and Shelton Benjamin . He later allied with Regal to throw Kozlov out of the alliance. On January 12, 2010 he was allowed to win an 8-man ECW Homecoming Battle Royal and received a title match against Christian. This was held as part of the Royal Rumble on January 31; Stephens, however, was defeated by the title holder. In the last edition of the ECW on February 16, 2010 he was finally able to defeat Christian in an Extreme Rules match . Since the ECW was discontinued immediately after this title match, Stephens is the last ECW champion and also the title holder with the shortest reign (2:59 minutes).

SmackDown! Return and RAW (2010)

The February 19, 2010 issue of SmackDown! Announced in a spot that Stephens was joining SmackDown! returns. He returned in the March 5, 2010 issue of SmackDown! And defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. He was on hiatus as he was recovering from an injury sustained during a house show against Kane. As part of the WWE Draft, Stephens switched to RAW on April 26, 2010 . Jackson returned to the ring on September 13, defeating Zack Ryder in a dark match.

Return to SmackDown! (2011)

In early 2011, Stephens switched to the Friday show SmackDown again, and joined the new stable The Corre , which he left on May 6, 2011. In the subsequent feud with Wade Barrett he was allowed to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first time on June 19, 2011 at the PPV Capitol Punishment 2011 . He lost the title on August 9, 2011 during the TV tapings for SmackDown to Cody Rhodes .

On April 7, 2014, Stephens announced that his contract with WWE had expired and that he had left the promotion. Due to various injuries, he had only been able to play one match since July 2012. From 2014 to 2015 Stephens was under the name "Big Ryck" with Lucha Underground . He has been with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) since 2015 .
