Prize for architecture from the state capital Munich

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Architecture Prize of the City of Munich has been awarded since 1957 (biennial since 2000) for an artistically outstanding achievement or an unusual artistic position in the field of architecture. The current performance and previous work of the artist are decisive for the assessment. Only architects or teams who live in Munich or the Munich region or whose work is closely linked to Munich's cultural life are eligible for the sponsorship award. A personal application is not possible. A commission, to be convened every two years by the city council, consisting of specialist jurors and members of the city council, has the right to make proposals. It is endowed with 6000 euros.

The prize architecture, together with the Foundation Art , the Award Design , the Award Photography and the Prize jewelry forgiven. A separate jury is set up for each area. Works by all of the artists proposed by the jury will each be shown in an exhibition in the Lothringer13 municipal art gallery.
