F. C. Weiskopf Prize
The F.-C.-Weiskopf-Preis is a literary prize that has been donated by the Academy of the Arts of the GDR since 1957 and by the Academy of the Arts (Berlin) since 1993 and is awarded at irregular intervals. The award is given to authors whose work is accentuated in a special way “language-critical and language-reflective”. It is named after the German-speaking writer Franz Carl Weiskopf (1900–1955), on whose birthday it is awarded, and is endowed with 5000 euros. After 2007 there is no evidence of any award.
