The Futbol Club Encamp , also known as Gran Valira Encamp because of the sponsor , is an Andorran football club from Encamp .
history
The club, founded in 1950, is one of the oldest clubs in the country. Since its introduction in 1995, the club has been participating in official match operations under the direction of the Andorran Football Association founded in 1994. In the very first year, the club's greatest success to date was achieved when the first Andorran championship was celebrated with two points ahead of pursuer CE Principat . Also in the following years top placements could be achieved. In 2000 they were in the cup final, but had no chance in the 0: 6 against Constelació Esportiva .
After finishing the 2001 season only as seventh in the table, the championship title was achieved in 2002 when UE Sant Julià, who were still in first place after the regular season, was defeated 2-1 on the last day of the championship playoffs and overtook them by one point. The following year the series ended as runner-up when FC Santa Coloma was able to book one point more.
The FC Encamp was fourth in the table in 2004, the club finished the 2004/05 season after the regular round in sixth and had to play in the relegation games. There they remained pointless in six games and had to relegate to the Segona Divisió due to the poorer direct comparison as bottom of the table behind the Atlètic Club d'Escaldes tied on points .
There they stayed in 12 games without defeat and showed with 32 points 9 points more than the table runner-up FC Casa Benfica . This lead could be extended in the six promotion games, in which they were again without defeat, and UE Engordany was 12 points behind in second at the end of the round. Thus, the team managed to rise and return to the Primera Divisió .
